Steven had to take time off of work to use up some of his vacation, but since we couldn't really go anywhere, we decided to do a staycation with Selah, mostly hanging out at or near home and letting her have all the junk food and eating out we'd normally do on a vacation.
Day one saw us heading to the Oregon Zoo. Some changes to normal operations included purchasing tickets online for a set time to enter, paying for parking via an app, wearing masks, social distancing, and following the one way map through the zoo. Also a few of the exhibits (most of the indoor ones) were closed. Honestly, I like visiting the zoo better this way, with the exception of wearing the mask outside in the heat for a couple of hours, but the zoo did provide some places for a mask break which was nice. Less people and a one way track is super efficient for seeing everything you want to see in a reasonable amount of time.
